my sister found a tin full of old coins my aunt has collected we took a look at them and there was this gold one with an eagle on one side and indian on the other it had a 20 dollar value(or $10) and it looked like 1910s-1930s. how much would it be worth today? and when was it in use? thanks
Well, is this what the coin looks like?

If so, it's a $20 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle coin. They were minted between 1907-1933. If that is the coin, then it's worth a LOT, like upwards $750-1000.
If the coin is worth $10, then it may be this one: http://www.thegoldcoinstore.com/USGoldCoins/10_Indian_Head_gold_eagles.php (which I think is more likely what you are talking about) It's called $10 Eagle Indian Head Gold coin. It was also minted between 1907 - 1933. It's also worth about the same amount as the other one.
If it's not either of these coins, then I'm not sure what the coin is, and I would try taking it to a collector to have it aged and appriased. Hope I helped!
